Phalaenopsis

Testing protocols
A recent study by Flowerwatch included five varieties of Phalaenopsis (yellow, white, pink, purple and special) alongside a matching set of plants treated with Vidre+ TM technology. Study details include:
  • Upon arrival Vidre+ TM labels were applied inside the sleeve at just under the level of the flowers.
  • Both groups of plants were stored for 3 days in a box at 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit) followed by a Vidre+ TM exposure overnight for about 12 hours.
  • The plants were then moved to a shelf life simulation for 14 days.
  • The shelf life environment included 50-70% relative humidity, an average temperature of 20 degrees Celsius and twelve hours of darkness and then daylight.
Results: prolonged vitality after 14 days
Untreated: 15 pots | Vidre+ TM: 15 pots
Vidre+ TM is the ONLY patented technology for surface-coating labels and stickers with humidity-activated 1-MCP that has a timed and gradual release rate.

Gradual release offers protection to orchids immediately after packaging and throughout shipment, at retail and in consumers’ homes. Once orchids are packaged, they can be shipped or stored without delay.
