Fresh Inset has taken a major step toward reducing food waste and increasing produce freshness in Latin America by entering into a distribution agreement with Interoc. This strategic partnership will bring the Vidre+™ technology to growers across Peru, starting with high-value export crops like limes, avocados, blueberries, and table grapes.

Smart packaging innovation for postharvest efficiency

Vidre+™ is a patented, stickers and active packaging solution that slows the ripening process by releasing 1-MCP gradually inside packaging. This innovation helps maintain the quality of fruits and vegetables across long supply chains without requiring additional infrastructure. Now officially registered in Peru, Vidre+™ will be introduced in the form of freshness-extending stickers—an easy-to-use solution that integrates seamlessly into postharvest operations.

Local expertise to scale impact across Peru

Interoc, a leading distributor of agricultural solutions in Latin America, will handle sales, importation, and distribution of the technology locally. The first commercial deployments are already underway, enabling Peruvian producers to extend freshness, reduce losses, and improve export readiness.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in making smart, functional packaging accessible to more growers globally. By combining local market knowledge with advanced postharvest technology, Fresh Inset and Interoc are helping transform traditional packaging into a tool for quality preservation and sustainability.
